1. Introduction

Welcome to The Jungle Mist Resort, Rishikesh. We are delighted to have you as our guest. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure a clear, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone. They govern all bookings, stays, and the use of our services and facilities. By making a booking or using the Resort's services, you agree to abide by these terms in their entirety.

2. Definitions

  • "Resort", "we", "us": refers to The Jungle Mist Resort.
  • "Guest", "you", "your": refers to any person, including their party, making a booking or staying at the Resort.
  • "Booking": means a confirmed reservation for accommodation, activities, or other services.

3. Bookings & Payments

Bookings can be made through our official website, by phone, by email, or via an authorized booking platform. A booking is considered confirmed only after the specified payment (deposit or full pre-payment) has been successfully processed and you have received a confirmation email from us. We accept payments via Credit/Debit Cards, UPI, Net-Banking, and Cash. Any applicable transaction fees will be clearly displayed during the payment process.

4. Rates, Taxes & Charges

All rates are quoted on a per-room, per-night basis and are exclusive of applicable taxes (such as GST) and service charges, which will be added as required by law. Special packages or promotional rates are not automatically applied and must be confirmed directly with the Resort via phone or email to ensure availability and accuracy.

5. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in Time: 12:00 PM
  • Check-out Time: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be arranged upon request.
  • Late check-out without prior approval may incur additional charges.

6. Guest Identification & Age Policy

In compliance with government regulations, all guests must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Driving Licence) at the time of check-in. The primary guest on the reservation must be at least 18 years of age. Unmarried couples are welcome, provided both individuals present valid photo identification upon arrival.

7. Room Occupancy & Extra Persons

Room rates are based on standard occupancy (typically two guests). Additional guests, including children above a certain age, may be accommodated for an extra charge, subject to room capacity and availability of rollaway beds.

8. Smoking & Alcohol Policy

  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all guest rooms and enclosed public areas. A significant deep-cleaning fee will be charged to guests who violate this policy. Designated smoking areas are available on the premises.
  • Alcohol: Alcohol consumption is permitted only for guests of legal drinking age. We request that you consume alcohol responsibly and only in designated areas. The Resort reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who is intoxicated or causing a disturbance.

9. Pet Policy

We are pleased to welcome pets to our property. Please be advised that guests are fully responsible for any damage their pet may cause. The cost of any necessary repairs or cleaning will be charged accordingly. Guests are also responsible for managing their pets to ensure they do not disturb other guests.

10. Outside Food & Beverages

To ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety for all our guests, bringing outside food and beverages is generally discouraged. Please contact the Resort management for specific guidelines or requests.

11. Guest Liability & Damage to Property

Guests are responsible for any damage to Resort property caused by themselves or their party, beyond normal wear and tear. The Resort reserves the right to charge the guest for the full cost of repair or replacement.

12. Health & Safety

The safety and well-being of our guests are paramount. All guests must adhere to the safety rules and instructions provided by our staff, especially for the use of the swimming pool and participation in adventure activities. Parents or guardians are solely responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times.

13. Force Majeure

The Resort shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Such events include, but are not limited to, natural disasters (floods, earthquakes), fire, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics, or acts of war.

14. Privacy & Data

Personal information collected during the booking process will be used exclusively for the purposes of the reservation, billing, and compliance with legal requirements (e.g., ID verification). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

16. Amendments

The Resort reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our official website.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Cancellation Terms

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both guests and the resort:

  • 3+ days before check-in: 100% refund of the booking amount
  • Less than 3 days before check-in: No refund
  • No-show: No refund will be provided

Peak Season & Special Events

During peak seasons (Diwali, New Year, Long Weekends) and special events, stricter cancellation terms may apply, With 100% Advance Pre Payment:

  • 7+ days before: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days: No refund

Modifications

Booking modifications (date changes, room type changes) are subject to availability and must be requested at least 3 days before check-in. Price differences may apply.

Force Majeure

In case of natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we will work with guests to reschedule bookings or provide alternative solutions.

To cancel your booking:

  • Cancellation confirmation will be sent via email within 24-48 hours

Refund Policy

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed according to our cancellation policy. Once cancellation is confirmed, refunds will be initiated within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

Note: Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. The resort is not responsible for delays by third-party payment processors.

Non-Refundable Charges

The following are non-refundable:

  • Service charges and taxes
  • Special event bookings (as per event-specific terms)
  • Add-on services already consumed (spa, activities, meals)
  • Promotional or discounted bookings (unless specified otherwise)

Partial Refunds

If you check out early or do not use certain booked services, refunds will be calculated based on the cancellation policy applicable at the time. No refunds for unused nights or services after check-in.

Refund for Service Issues

If you experience service issues during your stay, please report them immediately to our staff. We will make every effort to resolve the issue. If we are unable to provide satisfactory resolution, partial refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Disputes

If you have any concerns regarding refunds, please contact us first. We are committed to resolving issues amicably. All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand courts only.


WiFi Policy

WiFi Availability

Complimentary WiFi internet access is provided exclusively in public areas of the resort for the convenience of our guests. Please note the following important information:

Coverage Areas

  • WiFi Available: Reception area, restaurant, café, and other designated public spaces
  • WiFi Not Available: Guest rooms, cottages, tents, and private accommodation areas

Usage Guidelines

  • WiFi is intended for general browsing, email, and social media use
  • High-bandwidth activities (streaming, large downloads) may be restricted
  • Access is provided on a best-effort basis and may be subject to interruptions
  • Guests are responsible for the security of their own devices

Important Notice

Due to our location in a natural jungle setting and to preserve the authentic nature experience, WiFi service is not available in accommodation areas. We encourage our guests to disconnect and immerse themselves in the beautiful natural surroundings during their stay.

For urgent connectivity needs, our staff can assist you in accessing WiFi in public areas during operational hours.
